Bengaluru: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) plus allies bag Karnataka on Tuesday after D Kumaraswamy-led Congress-Janata Dal (Secular) coalition government lost majority in Karnataka Assembly.

After weeks of suspense, the political drama in Karnataka culminated with the trust vote, which was lost by the Kumaraswamy government.

It may also be mentioned that Bengaluru police had also clamped prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC across the city for today and tomorrow to avoid any untoward incident.

BJP chief BS Yeddyurappa set to be the New Chief Minister in the state.
