Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj passed away at 67 after heart attack

New Delhi: In a deeply saddened incident, former external affairs minister and senior BJP leader Sushma Swaraj passed away today at AIIMS in New Delhi. The veteran BJP leader suffered a major heart attack, died at the age of 67.

Sushma Swaraj's husband and other family members, along with BJP leaders Dr Harshvardhan and Nitin Gadkari are present at AIIMS.

It is to be noted that she was one of the star minister during Modi government's first stint, Sushma Swaraj did not contest the 2019 Lok Sabha elections and chose to sit out of the government this year on account of her health.

Her last Twitter post was about thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the government’s move on Kashmir stating that she was waiting for this day in her lifetime.
