NDFB (S) cadre nabbed in Chirang, both Indian and Bhutan currencies seized during operation

Chirang: In a joint operation on Tuesday last, the troops of the Army unit of Chirang along with Assam Police apprehended a suspicious person involved in extortion activities.

The person was identified as a cadre of NDFB(S) named Laben Muchahary alias Lwithama.

He is a brother of M Borosha, a dreaded cadre of NDFB(S). He was nabbed on the spot while indulging in extortion activities.

As per a press statement, Laben Muchahary was in possession of huge cash of money both Indian and Bhutan currencies. Presently, he is under police custody for further investigation & legal proceedings.

It may be mentioned that the recent successful operations in the area display a high degree of cooperation among various security forces. It has resulted in drastic shock to the nefarious designs of NDFB(S) in the region.
