Operation against illegal timber smugglers, seized valuable logs from Chirang & Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: Anti-corruption & crime Investigation Front organization NGO, Forest staff, SSB & police jointly carried out an operation against illegal timber logs smugglers’ from Kokrajhar and Chirang district in various locations and villages in these two districts.

Valuable sal logs and non-sal logs along with vehicles, tata mobile vehicle, trucks loaded etc have been recovered and seized from like Jharbari, Kachugaon, MAinaguri, Kuchagaon, Dhumbajhar , Soraibil in Kokrajhar district and Chirang district like Selekhaguri, Aipowali, Nijlaguri, Runikhata , Kungring, Santipur , Samudwisa etc in this two district and timber smugglers’ who have been cutting the valuable logs from Ultapani forest jungle and Kachugaon jungle.

According to sources officials said they have been jointly carried out operation drive to stop cutting off valuable sal and non-sal logs from Kachugaon & Riphu Chirang Forest Reserve jungle and lakhs amount sal & non-sal logs were seized from Kokrajhar & Chirang district and they also said that they will continue their operation against timber smugglers’ in the two district.
