Three new recruits of NDFB-S arrested along Indo-Bhutan border, Arms & Ammunition seized

Kokrajhar: Three new recruits of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland- Saraigwra (NDFB- S) have been arrested along the Indo-Bhutan border on Tuesday night.

A joint operation led by CI, Kachugaon and APR along with 12 Sikh LI Army, 210 Cobra in the Bamba area of Ripu RF in the Indo-Bhutan border helped trace the three new recruits.

The operation was held based on specific input regarding new recruits joining of the hardcore National Democratic Front of Bodoland- Saraigwra (NDFB- S) cadre Jwnwm alias Tamang.

The team apprehended the individuals along with arms, who were on their way to join the rebel group NDFB-S led by Batha.

It may be mentioned that one cadre managed to escape taking advantage of the night.

The cadres have been identified as Monjit Mushahary (38 yrs), Golap Mushahary (27 yrs), and Birswn Narzary (19 yrs).

The team seized one 7.65 mm Pistol, six Pistol Magazines, six rounds of 7.65mm ammunition and one machete, approx. 40 kg of rice and four Tarpaulins etc.

A case has been registered in relation to the case.

Further investigation is going on.
