Bike Borne Robbers loot Man at Digboi-Duliajan Road, Takes away Cash

Digboi: In a sensational robbery incident, two bike-borne miscreants robbed an employee of a private company named 'Settings' at Digboi-Duliajan Road today evening at around 7 pm.

As per reports, the bike-borne miscreants chased the employee identified as Bidyut Duwara near jungles at Digboi-Duliajan Road and robbed of cash Rs 1 lakh 35 thousand.

Speaking before the media, the employee said that the miscreants first pelted stone upon him and chased him from the back, later; they threatened to chop him with the machete and took away the cash amount from his possession.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered in connection to the matter at Digboi Police Station (Case No 243/19) under section 392 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

Furthermore, the Digboi Police under the supervision of the officer in charge, Mahesh Borah is carrying out an investigation.

In a sensational incident, masked bike-borne miscreants loot cash Rs 3 lakh from a man near State Bank of India (Airport Branch) at VIP area in Borjhar on Thursday afternoon.

The victim identified as Haren Chandra Das was looted near VIP while he was engaged in shopping some household stuff.

A case has been registered in connection to the incident at Borjhar Police Outpost.

Speaking to The Sentinel Digital, Borjhar Police Outpost, in-charge, Shahnaz Yasmin had also the confirmed the incident and further informed that the police team is investigating the matter and will update the follow up to the media soon.

It is to be noted that the victim Haren Chandra Das, a resident of Chaukdaur at Depor Bill had reportedly withdrawn the amount from the bank for his daughter's marriage.
