Breaking: Containment Zone tag removed from Guwahati's Fancy Bazar

The district administration of Kamrup (M) in Guwahati city of Assam has removed the Containment Zone tag from the Fancy Bazar locality in the city.

The decision was taken as no further COVID-19 positive cases were detected since the declaration of 'Containment Zone' in the aforementioned places.

This development has transpired a day after the containment zone tag was removed from two areas in the city -- Katahbari and Rukminigaon -- where cases were reported.

Meanwhile, the number of Covid-19 cases in Assam have soared to 1,272, out of which 1,102 are active cases. While 163 patients recovered, 4 died due to complications.
