Excise Department & Police seized country made Liquors in Tezpur

Tezpur: Based on a joint operation by the Excise Department and Tezpur police on Friday seized a Maruti van bearing registration AS 12 AN 6028.

Following the operation, a huge quantity of country-made liquor gallons was recovered from the seized vehicle.

One Sunil Nath was arrested for allegedly carrying these gallons to Becheria Phukhuria area to sell them illegally. Nath is currently being interrogated by the police.

Speaking to media, Police officials informed that the area of Bebejia and Biroguri area in Tezpur has now become the hub of the illegal traders of the country made liquors.
