Gauhati High Court instructs State Government to restore Mobile Internet Service today

Guwahati: The Gauhati High Court on Tuesday has ordered the State Government to restore mobile internet services.

The order has come after 10 advocates have filed a PIL to restore the internet service in the region.

A case was heard by the Gauhati High Court and accordingly, the Chief Justice of GHC has ordered to restore the internet service before today evening.

Notably, Internet services were suspended last Wednesday, initially for a period of 24 hours in ten districts of the State, and was extended for another 48 hours across the State on Thursday.

Later, the suspension of internet services in Assam was extended by another 24 hours again on Monday.
