Heinous Crime: Son kills Mother over Property Dispute in Silchar

Guwahati/Silchar: Sensation prevails in Silchar after a notorious son kills his own mother over a property dispute.

The accused son identified as Zakir Hussain had allegedly killed his own mother Jamerun Nessa with a sharp weapon on Thursday night.

Speaking to The Sentinel, I/C Ghonghoor Police Outpost, Palash Hazarika said, “So far no FIR has been registered in the incident, however, as per our preliminary investigation we are suspecting that Zakir might have killed his mother for the sake of property.”

SI Hazarika also mentioned that as per their information Zakir had a verbal argument with his own younger brother over a property dispute earlier. The matter got intensified as they fought to each other thereafter.

Police sources also informed that on Thursday night, a clash broke out between the elder son and his mother.

Reportedly, elder son Zakir allegedly hit upon his own mother after a verbal clash broke out between them.

Following the incident, local people had beaten up Zakir and handed him over to the custody of police. The ‘Jannaja’ final rights of the deceased mother Jamerun Nessa will be performed by the younger son (name not mentioned) today.

Meanwhile, Ghonghoor Police had detained the alleged killer son Zakir and kept him under their custody.

“We are expecting a complaint from the younger son after he completes his final rights of the funeral ‘Jannaza’," added I/C Hazarika.
