Guwahati: With the declaration of the names of the toppers of HSLC examination 2019, Pratyasha Medhi from St. Mary's HS School, Guwahati secured the second position in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination this year obtaining 593 out of 600 with letter marks in all the six subjects that include (ENGLISH, GENERAL MATHEMATICS, GENERAL SCIENCE, SOCIAL SCIENCE, ASSAMESE, ADVANCED MATHEMATICS (E).
Accordingly, Anushree Bhuyan and Christie Saikia from the same school secured the 3rd and 4th position respectively in the HSLC 2019 examination this year.
Anushree Bhuyan obtained 591 out of 600 and Christie scored 590 out of 600.
It is to be noted that Meghashree Borah of Sankardev Shishu Bidya Niketan in Lakhimpur district of Assam obtained the first position in the HSLC examination. She scored 594 marks with letter marks in all the above six subjects.
Male Candidates applied was around 163467 out of which 160264 candidates have appeared for the HSLC examination around 24918 candidates secured 1st Division, 34866 2nd Division, 40691 3rd Division, the pass percentage of Male candidates is around 62.69%.
Comparing to that around 179224 female candidates applied for the HSLC 2019 examination out of which 175939 candidates appeared in the examination this year. Around 23681 candidates secured 1st Division, 36154 candidates secured 2nd Division and 42198 candidates secured 3rd Division taking the pass percentage to 57.99.
