Illegal IMFL liquors seized by Directorate and a team of Excise Intelligence Bureau in Goalpara

Guwahati: Based on a secret information from the directorate of vigilance and anti-corruption, a joint raid was conducted by the officials of the directorate and a team of Excise intelligence bureau of Excise Commissionerate in the night of 29 November 2019, in Kharboja of Goalpara district, wherein illegal IMFL of the following description meant for sale and consumption in Arunachal Pradesh were seized.

Two persons identified as Nipul Rava son of late Nirod Rava and Rajesh Kr. Rava son of Niren Rava, both of Khargaja, Goalpara were arrested in whose house the contraband was stored and the illegal liquor seized by the Excise Intelligence Branch, Guwahati and handed over to Inspector of Excise, Goalpara for further necessary action.

Assam Police further informed that around 162 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquors, 163 cartons of Beer, Fake labels 2980 numbers and Two fake seals were recovered from the possession of the two accused.
