GUWAHATI: The Muslim Students’ Federation (MSF) state committee claimed that after the release of the final draft of NRC, a total of 1,96,647 people were left out and around three lakh people have not filled their claims before the NRC authorities. All these people shall now have to appeal before the Foreigner’s Tribunal.

The MSF assured that they shall stand by the people of Assam at this critical hour of crisis. State president of the federation Tousif Hussain said, “We shall fight and strive for justice of each and every deprived and shall ensure justice to all, irrespective of caste, creed and religion.”

“We warn the government and other fascist organizations not to play with public emotions as this is a situation of people losing their identity and beloved homes. The MSF also warns the government again not to bring in the discussion of Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) to discriminate the left out people on the basis of religion,” said the State general secretary of MSF Jakir Akhtar Parvez.
