Sadia Police Rescued Milkman Khem Bahadur Chetri from armed Miscreants in Tinsukia

Tinsukia/Digboi: Based on a tip-off, Sadia Police under the supervision of Superintendent of Police, Debojit Deori managed to rescue milkman Khem Bahadur Chetri alias Sunny Mahajan from Momjabori area in the wee hours on Tuesday.

Police also apprehended two armed miscreants in connection with the kidnapping of the businessman.

The apprehended miscreants were identified as Jayanta Dutta and Annan Gowala.

Speaking to the media, Sadia Superintendent of Police, Debojit Deori said, “From our sources, this was confirmed that both the armed miscreants have no connection with ULFA-I, however, we suspect that there are people who could be allegedly involved in the abduction case of Khem Bahadur Chetri. Our investigation is on.”

It may also be mentioned that the health condition of miscreant Jayanta Dutta suddenly got deteriorated and was shifted to Tinsukia Civil Hospital for medication.

Earlier reports claimed that Khem Bahadur Chetri is a resident of Dhekiajan Nepali Basti under Digboi Police station. He was allegedly missing since last Saturday evening.

Also, the family members of the businessman suspected that he was abducted by some unidentified miscreants from Saikhowa Tengapani Bhagghuli Chapori area under Tinsukia district.

The family members also failed to trace his whereabouts. It may further be mentioned that businessman Khem Bahadur Chetri had lost his wife last year who reportedly died due to Cancer.
