Sukhoi- 30 Aircraft Crashes nearby local flying area in Tezpur

Tezpur: In a tragic incident, a Sukhoi- 30 reportedly crashed in Assam’s Tezpur at around 8 pm on August 8, 2019.

Sources informed that the Air Force plane reportedly took off from Tezpur Air Base.

The incident happened nearby Saikia Suburi in Tezpur.

As per sources, both the pilots managed to eject safely from the aircraft, however, sustained injuries in the incident.

Sources informed that both the injured pilot has been admitted to the nearby hospital for medical assistance. The Air Force plane reportedly took off from Tezpur Airport.

Meanwhile, in a press statement by the security forces confirming the matter informed that the Sukhoi-30 aircraft was on a routine training mission from Tezpur crashed in the local flying area. Both pilots ejected safely from the aircraft and have been rescued.

A Court of Enquiry will ascertain cause of the accident.
