West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee to attend swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi on May 30th

Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Supremo Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said she will be attending the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as prime minister on 30^th May 2019 in New Delhi.

As per media reports, CM Banerjee told at the state secretariat that the invitation for the ceremony arrived on Tuesday and she will be attending it as "Constitutional Courtesy".

She added, "I have spoken to a couple of other chief ministers and decided to attend it finally.”

"There are certain ceremonial programs under the Constitution. We try to attend such programs when get an invitation for swearing-in programs of the president and the prime minister," Banerjee added further.
