Assam Pavilion shines again in India International Trade Fair IITF-2019

GUWAHATI: The two-week-long India International Trade Fair (IITF) which was held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi concluded on Wednesday. At the end of the fair, the Assam Pavilion has been awarded the Silver Medal for excellence in display amongst all the States and Union Territories. Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal distributed the awards at an award presentation ceremony today at New Delhi.

The reforms initiated under Ease of Doing Business (EODB) were projected in the pavilion as per this year’s theme.13 MSME units and 4 Government departments and agencies were accommodated at the Assam Pavilion to display the products having export potentialities.

It may be noted that Bihar and Andhra Pradesh bagged the first and third prizes respectively at IITF-2019, stated a press release.
