Guwahati: Union Bank of India Regional Office Guwahati organized a Mega MSME Outreach Camp on Saturday at Guwahati in order to give further impetus to the MSME sector in the state commemorating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The camp was presided over by Prabhat Kumar Regional Head. Dr. Samir Baruah, Chairperson Banking and MSME Indian chamber of commerce North East was a special invitee. The camp was attended by more than 70 entrepreneurs from various sectors. Kumar while highlighting the importance of MSME sector in the economy, also explained the various schemes and initiatives taken by the bank for the sector. Special scheme for women entrepreneurs 'Union Nan Shakthi' was well appreciated by the attendees. Total leads of more than 220 crores rupees was mobilized at the camp and on the spot in principal approvals of 101.80 crores rupees was accorded to various entities, stated a press release.
