Facebook doesn't want to limit itself to social media only and due to this, the company has rebranded itself to the new technology Metaverse. The company has also changed its name as Meta.

Earlier, the social media platform, Facebook had announced to publish financial results separately for augmented and virtual reality. Reportedly, the Facebook is believed to invest several billion rupees in its project Metaverse. Several reports have claimed that Facebook is doing this as their advertising business is decreasing.

Metaverse which is a very broad term is becoming very popular in technology and business. It's a virtual world environment which can be accessed by people through the Internet.
