Hailakandi: 1,663 persons who have completed 28 days under home quarantine in Hailakandi district have been discharged. Disclosing the information on Wednesday, Joint Director, Health Services, Dr.Ramesh Chandra Dwivedy said as per report of Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP) of the total 1,793 persons under home quarantine, 1,663 persons have been discharged after completing the mandatory 28 days period. Only 130 persons are presently under home quarantine.
Of the total persons under home quarantine, Algapur has recorded the highest with 565 persons followed by Katlicherra 546, Lala 465 and Kalinagar 217 persons as on Tuesday. On Tuesday, the five family members of the COVID-19 victim were discharged from quarantine facility after their swab results tested negative for the third time. They are now under home quarantine. 60 persons have been home quarantined on Wednesday. 59 swab samples have been sent for retesting for second time while 43 samples for the third time. 24 swab samples tested negative on Wednesday. Altogether 239 swab samples have turned out to be negative with one person succumbing to COVID-19 infection. Of the 76 persons who called 104 for medicines, 45 received medicines at their home on Tuesday.
