Deshbandhu CR Das remembered on his 148th birth anniversary in Silchar

Silchar: Rich tributes were paid to Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das (C R Das) on his 148th birth anniversary by the members of Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das Smriti Rakshya Mancha in Silchar on Monday.

They paid floral tributes in front of the statue of C R Das which is located at the National Highway point of this town. Dr. Tapash Shankar Dutta, ward commissioner Chameli Paul, Shyamal Kanti Deb, Purbi Paul, Rofique Ahmed, Satadal Acharjee among others in their speeches threw light on the life and times of the great politician, lawyer, activist of the Indian national movement, founder leader of the Swaraj Party and also the mentor of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
