Dr S Lakshmanan Hands Over Charge To Laya Madduri

Silchar: Dr S Lakshmanan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, at a simple function in his conference hall, handed over charge to Laya Madduri, IAS, the new incumbent at 6.30 pm on Friday. S Lakshmanan, after handing over the charge, told the waiting media-persons about his sweet and suave association and relation with them and said, “I would always cherish in my memory the eventful and educative tenure here. My heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of this wonderful and historic district of Cachar for extending unconditional affection and support to each and every event in these last 16 months.”

He added to say from Namami Barak to the visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister’s visit, the media-persons did fabulous work and their contributions were just amazing. Laya Madduri too addressed the journalists and said, “I commit to working for the development of this district and would strive hard to complete the works initiated by Dr S Lakshmanan.” She sought the help and cooperation of all the media-persons in providing the best of governance. She also said any sort of complaint in respect of administrative or general affairs should be addressed directly to her for redressal.
