Police Seized Foreign liquor in Naka Check at Hailakandi

Hailakandi: Police seized foreign liquor during naka check on Monday evening in Hailakandi. Officers on naka duty under Katlicherra Police Station intercepted a truck and during inspection 130 foreign made liquor bottles were recovered from the truck heading towards Bhairobi in Mizoram. Superintendent of Police, Pabindra Kumar Nath said, “During naka checking, 130 bottles of foreign liquor of McDowell’s No.1 and Imperial Blue in several cartons were seized under the jurisdiction of Katlicherra Police Station area on Monday evening while trying to despatch to Mizoram clandestinely without any document.” The police apprehended the two persons and booked them. “Necessary legal action is being taken in connection with the same,” said Nath.
