Hailakandi: In a bid to reach out to the common man, the Office of District Information and Public Relations, Hailakandi broadcast Prime Minister’s ‘Maan Ki Baat’ through fixed loud speakers (FLS) on Sunday.

Exactly on the dot 11 am Prime Minister’s popular radio programme ‘Maan Ki Baat’ was transmitted through FLS by the District Information and Public Relations Office. People could be seen listening attentively to Prime Minister’s address broadcast through FLS despite scorching heat.

The Office of DIPRO will be installing fixed loud speakers at some important public places under the Hailakandi municipal areas soon. DIPRO, Sabir Nishat said that as most people could not carry a radio so through fixed loud speakers they can listen to PM’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme “The main aim behind it is to disseminate as much information as possible to keep the people updated on various issues concerning them”, said Nishat.
