Sanjeev Kalra appointed as Police Observer for Barak Valley

Hailakandi: Sanjeev Kalra, IPS, has been appointed by the Election Commission of India as Police Observer covering the three districts of Barak Valley for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. A 1989 batch officer, Kalra would monitor and guide the authority about the deployment of central armed forces and state forces during the elections to Karimganj and Silchar parliamentary constituencies slated for April 18.
