Udyam Samagam to be held in Hailakandi

Hailakandi: An enterprise meet named as ‘Udyam Samagam’ will be held in Hailakandi soon. A six-member district level committee has been constituted with the Deputy Commissioner as chairperson, Inspector of Schools, District Information and Public Relations Officer, Lead District Manager, president, Merchant Association, Hailakandi as members and general manager, District Industries and Commerce Centre as member secretary. A notification to this effect was issued here on Monday.

Through the enterprise meet, the department would conduct an intensive campaign in the district to establish a direct communication with the youth, entrepreneurs and the public. Senior officers of the department have been given the responsibility of coordination and preparing a roadmap for organising the enterprise meet. The department will highlight several programmes including new industry policy, new investment policy, chief minister enterprise promotion scheme through Udyam Samagam. “The priority of the department is to take these schemes and programmes to the public,” said an official.
