Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) will work towards the well-being of workers: Ramendra Narayan Kalita

GUWAHATI: Shram Parisad Asom, a brother organisation of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), celebrated International Labour Day in Guwahati. A rally was taken out on the occasion from Machkowa to Guwahati Club.?

After the rally, the participants met at the AGP Head Office in Ambari, where the traditional flag was hoisted and homages were paid to the martyrs of the state. Speaking on the occasion, AGP general secretary Ramendra Narayan Kalita said, ?GP will take all the necessary steps to ensure the well-being of the workers of the state.·Calling on them to stay united, he added that the workers have done a commendable job towards the development of the country. He also mentioned that AGP will work towards the solution of all the problems faced by the workers via discussions with the administrative bodies.

The chairperson of the Assam Livestock and Poultry Corporation, Manoj Saikia, was also present for the event, and he mentioned that the party will take all steps to ensure the well-being and justice of the workers of the state and will continue to fight against oppression and exploitation of the workers. Several other members of the party attended the event.
