100 ‘Aamaar Dhukaans on Wheel’ to come up in State

GUWAHATI: The Food and Civil Supplies Department has planned a scheme – Aamaar Dhukaans on Wheel – for selling essential commodities at cheaper rates. Under this scheme, 100 ‘Aamaar Dhukaans on Wheels’ or mobile outlets will start plying in the State and sell consumable items at cheaper rates. The shopkeepers to be chosen under this scheme will get subsidies as the profession involves the purchase of three-wheelers. At present, the State has around 2,000 Aamaar Dhukaans that are not mobile ones. Such shops are also selling consumer items at rates cheaper than market rates.
