11 persons test positive in Assam Legislative Assembly Secretariat

GUWAHATI: Eleven persons in Assam Legislative Assembly (ALA) Secretariat have tested corona positive. The rapid antigen test was conducted among 270 persons, including employees, officials and others working in the ALA complex.

The 11 COVID-19 positive persons comprise seven officials, one CRPF personnel, two canteen staff and an outsider. The rapid antigen test began in ALA's new building conference hall from August 4 when three of the 85 persons tested positive. On August 5, the rapid antigen tests of 91 persons were conducted and only one person tested positive. On August 6 as many as 94 tests were conducted and seven of them tested positive.
