130 Road Accident Cases on Second Day of Diwali

GUWAHATI: On the second day of Diwali celebrations across the State, like every other year in the past, the festivities on the second day too, has been marked by a large number of revelers meeting with road traffic accidents in the State. These accidents are only the ones that have been attended to by Mrityunjay 108 Emergency Services. On Monday, the State has witnessed as many as 130 road accidents that have been attended to by Mrityunjay 108 Emergency Services. There have been other cases of accidents as well. According to sources, the State witnessed as many as 7 burn cases that have been attended to by Mrityunjay 108 Emergency Services on Monday. Udalguri and Sonitpur have topped the list with 2 burn cases each, followed by Kamrup (R), Baksa and Nalbari, with 1 case each.

130 road traffic accidents occurred on the same day attended by Mrityunjay 108 Emergency Services. Kamrup (R) topped the list with 169 cases, followed by Sonitpur with 16 cases, Kamrup (M) witnessed 12 cases, Dibrugarh, Nagaon and Tinsukia had 7 cases each, Nalbari, Bongaigaon and Dhemaji had 6 cases each, Barpeta, Cachar and Golaghat had 5 cases each, Kokrajhar had 4 cases, Chirang, Darrang, Dhubri, Goalpara and Morigaon had 3 cases each, Baksa, Jorhat and Majuli had 2 cases each, and Udalguri, Karimganj, Lakhimpur and Sibsagar had 1 case each.
