158th Rabindra Jayanti celebration at University of Science and Technology Meghalaya

GUWAHATI: The 158th birth anniversary of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated on Thursday at the University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya with great fervour. The function was organized by the Cultural Forum of USTM. Mouchumi Sikhdar, a renowned Rabindra Sangeet singer was the chief guest on the occasion. The function was addressed by Dr PK Goswami, Vice Chancellor, Dr Balendra Kumar Das, Director Administration, and Dr RK Sharma, Advisor USTM, and attended by faculty members and a large number of students.

As per a press release, the programme was enriched with the performance of Rabindra Sangeet and poems by USTM students and Chief Guest Mouchumi Sikhdar. It concluded with the vote of thanks by Polly Borgohain, Cultural Convenor of the university.
