1st, 3rd and 5th-semester degree examinations of Gauhati University (GU) on schedule

GUWAHATI: The Control of Examinations (in-charge) of Gauhati University (GU) Debohari Talukdar has made it clear that the first, third and fifth semester examinations of degree students of the university will be on schedule – the November end.
A fake programme for the third semester of degree examinations of the university prepared by some unscrupulous people made it to social media, creating a lot of confusion among the university fraternity and students. The fake examination programme led the acting Controller of Examinations of the university to lodge an FIR at the Jalukbari outpost seeking an investigation into the miscreants for uploading the misleading examination programme on social media.
Meanwhile, the secretary in charge of Gauhati University classes has said in a notification that the university cancelled postgraduate and undergraduate classes on October 17, 19 and 20, 2022, on account of the Post Graduate Students' Union (PGSU) election, 2022-23.
