GUWAHATI: All Assam Publishers and Book Sellers Association is all set for 21st North East Book Fair to be held at Assam Engineering Institute field from November 1 to 12. Addressing the media, the organizer informed that the entry fee for the book fair will remain the same as previous year. Like earlier, this year too, the organizing Committee is going to dedicate different programmes on memory of recently departed persons who have a huge contribution towards the Assamese society. This year the North East Book Fair will be dedicated to educationist Taburam Taid and the main Stage will be dedicated to GL Agarwalla and artist Benu Mishra, the Cultural night will be dedicated to Punyabrata Devgoswami. Some other programmes will be dedicated to Purobi Bormudoi, Pramod Chandra Bhattacharjee, Manik Bora and Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika. With rupees 50 lakh budget, a total of 110 well known publishers are expected to take part in the book fair.
