4 thieves arrested in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) one Sunday arrested one Manuj Pasuwan of Amingaon and recovered two stolen mobile phones and a stolen laptop from his possession.

Follow up investigation is on and legal action has been initiated, police sources said.

Meanwhile a Central Guwahati Police District (CGPD) team from Geetanagar Police Station arrested three thieves and receivers of stolen property, identified as Rubul Ali, Sohidul Rahman and Sonu Sarma, from Bhaskar Nagar.

Police sources said that Sohidul deals in stolen items and is a habitual offender. He deals in stolen mobile phones and five mobile phones seven wrist watches were recovered from his possession.

Sonu was evading arrest since 2017 and another case in pending against him, the sources said, adding that follow-up action is on.
