GUWAHATI: The Secondary Education Department has upgraded 58 more High Schools to Higher Secondary institutions. Earlier, the Department had upgraded 158 High Schools across the State in two phases.

The new 58 upgraded High Schools district-wise are: Bongaigaon (11); Kamrup (six); four each in Darrang, Golaghat, and Sonitpur; three each in Cachar, Dibrugarh, Karimganj, and Morigaon; two each in Biswanath, Barpeta, Chirang, Jorhat, Kokrajhar, Udalguri; and one each in Baksa, Dhubri, Lakhimpur, and Nagaon.
