60-day campaign against substance abuse ends in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Byatikram MASDO successfully completed its 60-day Anti-Drugs, Tobacco and Liquor Awareness Campaign with a meeting with Assam's Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta here on Tuesday.

According to a press release, Byatikram MASDO's president Saumen Bharatiya me the DGP along with other team members and presented a painting by Tulika Goswami and apprised him about the successful completion of the 60 days' activities. During the meeting, the DGP congratulated the entire team for the successful completion of the programme and urged the organization to continue such programmes in the coming days.

Earlier in the morning, Byatikram MASDO, in association with Kamrup (M) District Yoga Association, hosted a Yoga Orientation Programme at the Deshbhakta Tarunram Phookan Indoor Stadium, marking the completion of the campaign. The programme was an initiative to make people aware of the healing power of Yoga to lead a happy and healthy lifestyle and also to spread awareness about the prevention of substance abuse.
