60 Guwahati based journalists tested for post-COVID complications

On Friday nearly 60 city-based journalists were screened for post-COVID complications and health-related issues.

Guwahati: A health camp was organised by the Guwahati Press Club in collaboration with Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where the screening of nearly 60 scribes for post-COVID complications and health-related issues was carried out.

Dr Ahmed Barek, Assistant Professor of Medicine in GMCH while addressing the media said that the post-COVID issues would be diagnosed at the earliest and warned journalists to take caution and be responsible while coming in contact with different persons.

Dr Diganta Buragohain, another doctor who attended the camp, instructed the scribes to take maximum precaution until the vaccines arrives.

Until now, Assam journalists Ashim Dutta and Dhaneshwar Rabha have fallen victim to coronavirus.

Besides, in a previously conducted plasma donation camps, over 15 journalists who had recovered from the virus donated their plasma.
