GUWAHATI: The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized 55 bags of suspected Burmese supari (betel nut) from Agartala-Secunderabad Express at Guwahati Railway Station last night. According to GRP sources, the seized supari weighs around 4,420 kg - each bag containing 80 kg. The GRP said that the smugglers had loaded the consignment at Badarpur. The destination of the nut is not known. The GRP started the investigation but has yet to make any arrests. Forty-four other bags of Burmese Supari were also seized from Hamsafar Express in Guwahati Railway Station later.
