AAMSU, Guwahati demands restrictions on Eid shopping

GUWAHATI: The All Assam Minority Students' Union (AAMSU), Guwahati Metro District Committee submitted a memorandum to Guwahati Police Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner to take strict action against the people who are flouting the lockdown norms while shopping for Eid. The AAMSU stated that senior citizens and children below the age of 10 are seen shopping for Eid. Taking negative advantages of the lockdown relaxation, people were seen violating the social distancing norms while shopping, AAMSU added. "We appeal the DC to take strict actions against the people who are violating the lockdown norms while shopping," stated the memorandum.
