Accused in rape case nabbed in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A team of the East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) from the Bhagaduttapur Outpost of the Dispur Police Station on Saturday arrested a person who was wanted by the police in connection with a rape case.

EGPD sources identified the arrested person as one Gaurab Sinha of Katighora in Cachar, and added that he was wanted in connection with a case (No 114/22 u/s 376/406 IPC r/w Sec 67 IT Act) at the Haflong Police Station.
