Action against traffic violators, drunken drivers in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Metro Transport Department has started a massive drive against traffic violators, drunken drivers and stunt bikers in Guwahati from December 22 in the run-up to Christmas and the New Year.

The Transport Department, Police and District Administration have been organizing awareness campaigns for the public and vehicle users and for drivers in Guwahati.

The Kamrup (M) DTO also conducts naka-checking in the city at night to prevent people from violating traffic rules in the run-up to the Christmas celebrations.
