GUWAHATI: The All India Tribal Students' Association, Assam (AITSAA) members sent a memorandum to the State government demanding closure of the Ajur Solar Plant at Mikir Bamuni Grant Land, and rehabilitation of around 1,500 people from the Mishing community of Laika and Dadhiya villages.

"Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is working as a Dalal (middleman) of Delhi. Due to the failure of the Government, new political parties have emerged in the political scenario of Assam," said AITSAA advisor Arindam Prince Panging on Tuesday. Further, the body threatened that they will intensify their protests and other tribes of the State will also join them if their demands are not met.
