AIUDF welcomes poll dates of the Assam Assembly Election

GUWAHATI: The AIUDF (All India United Democratic Front) has welcomed the Election Commissioner of India's announcement to hold Assam Assembly election in three phases on March 27, April 1, and April 6.

AIUDF supremo Badruddin Ajmal in a statement said, "It will be convenient for the people that the election will be over before various students' examinations, Bihu and Ramadan. It is a welcome step by the Election Commission for allowing the people above the age of 80 to vote from their houses. The AIUDF is ready for the election."
