All Assam Law Students' Association (AALSA) to conduct Webinar, distribute books

Kamrup district committee of the All Assam Law Students’ Association (AALSA) to organize a webinar on Decriminalization of Cheque Bounce

GUWAHATI: The Kamrup district committee of the All Assam Law Students' Association (AALSA) is going to organize a webinar on June 20 on 'Decriminalization of Cheque Bounce in Context to White Collar Crime'. The guest speaker of the webinar session will be Advocate Vikram Hegde (AOR),Supreme Court of India. During the COVID-19 pandemic the AALSA has taken up such an initiative to give legal awareness among the people.

AALSA's Jorhat district committee, in collaboration with Brikhyo, an NGO), has also taken an initiative to provide free reference books to the students of class 11th standard. The beneficiaries will be from economically poor background. The committee members have started collecting the books from today onwards.

Central AALSA president Kishore Kalita stated that the Association works for the welfare of students and have also worked and raise its voice for various problems faced by the students, a press release said.
