All Assam NHM Para-medical employees stage protest at Chachal in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The All Assam NHM Para-Medical Employees' Union staged a protest at Chachal here on Friday demanding regularization of their jobs and inclusion of their basic pay under the 7th Pay Commission.

Among other demands of the Union include, same facilities and equal pay as the SSA (Sarba Siksha Abhiyan) employees.

Highlighting their demands, the Union has sent a memorandum to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.

"We are deprived of the basic facilities in spite of doing duty during the COVID-19 pandemic. We will resort to cease work if our demands are not fulfilled in the days ahead," the Union stated.
