GUWAHATI: The All Assam NHM Para-Medical Employees Union demanded that all the employees working under National Health Mission (NHM) as contractual employees in this COVID pandemic should get double the salary.
Further, in a statement to the state government the Union's sectary Mofidul Islam alleged said that since 2006 under the NHM, Assam around 22,000 contractual employees are working without getting any benefits as compared to other state government employees along with the early hike in salaries.
With this the union has raised few demands to the state government for the welfare of the contractual employees working under NHM.
As per that the Union demanded the state government to the pending increment given to the NHM staff in the year 2019. Further, the contractual staff of the NHM, Assam should be given equal rights and benefits compared to the contractual TET teachers of the state.
The union also demanded that the government should implement the 7th pay commission and the staff to be benefited under this.
