GUWAHATI: The Dharapur regional unit of the AASU (All Assam Students’ Union) has demanded of the Kamrup (M) district administration to sanitize the Dharapur area through the spaying of disinfectants. It has also demanded the West Guwahati MLA and the Azara Circle Officer to bring about awareness on coronavirus, besides ensuring the availability of essential commodities in the area. In a statement issued to the press on Thursday, the students’ body said, “The administration should take measures to provide essential commodities to people lying below the poverty line (BPL), besides carrying out awareness drive on the outbreak of the virus in the area. The sanitization drive taken along the National Highway isn’t adequate.”
