All-Party Delegation Leaves For Upper Assam To Visit Affected Areas By Hooch Tragedy

GUWAHATI: An all-party delegation from the Assam Legislative Assembly on Thursday left for Golaghat and Jorhat districts to visit the affected areas by the recent hooch tragedy. The Assembly recently resolved to send the delegation during it’s the Budget session. The members of the delegation on Friday visited the worst affected areas of the hooch tragedy and interacted with the victims and their families. The delegation will make a detailed report with their observation and recommendations to prevent such tragedy in future after completing their visit. The report will be submitted to the State Government and Assembly.
