All the benefits of P&RD schemes must reach the beneficiaries: Ranjeet Kumar Dass

GUWAHATI: All the benefits of P&RD (Panchayat & Rural Development) schemes must reach the beneficiaries. This was stated by P&RD Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass while addressing the newly recruited BDOs (Block Development Officers) after launching their training programme at the Assam Administrative Staff College here on Wednesday.

The Minister added, "The P&RD schemes are time-specific, and it is up to the officers to expedite these development programmes. The officers must perform their duties in a transparent manner. It is their responsibility to select the actual beneficiaries."

Notably, the training of the BDOs will continue for three days. Among the dignitaries present during the launching programme were P&RD Commissioner Hemen Das, Secretary Munindra Sarma and other officials.
