ALPCO, Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute organized training on rearing of cattle

GUWAHATI: ALPCO (Assam Livestock & Poultry Corporation) and Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute jointly arranged a training programme on the rearing of animals among patients and their attendants at the premises of the Institute.

Speaking on the occasion, ALPCO Chairman Manoj Saikia stressed on the importance of such extra-curricular activities for the mental and psychological wellbeing of patients and also their kith and kin. Moreover, cattle rearing can be a viable source of employment and it can also significantly boost the economy of the State.

Also present on the occasion were the Director of Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Dr Amal Chandra Kataki and ALPCO Managing Director Dipali Devi.
